It is my great pleasure to recognize the IBEW Local 343 for their ongoing support. This event would not enjoy the success we have achieved without their generous support. I thank them for their continued commitment to helping us achieve changing the ONE in EIGHT women affected with breast cancer to NONE in EIGHT, our ultimate goal. Our sincere appreciation goes out to Chafoulias Companies, Andy's Liquor, George F. Restovich & Associates and Outback Steakhouse for their loyal support and for their commitment to women's health in our area. A special "Thank You" to Ron Hanson from the Post-Bulletin for
their support and assistance in raising awareness for breast cancer in
southeastern Minnesota. Sincerely, Chapter 14 One in Eight. Look Around. That’s a pretty low set of odds, Me? Her? You? How about her? But if YOU were that one? That one in eight? Changes the picture some…doesn’t it? You know what? It need not be anyone in eight. It’s about education. A simple exam you can do yourself. A simple exam your daughter can do herself. A simple exam that takes that one in eight
and turn it into none in eight. That’s just what this tournament is about. EDUCATION. AWARENESS. And the chance to stack those
odds in our favor. While the statistics say one thing, the
GOOD NEWS is early detection Has proven to be breast cancer’s strongest
opponent. And it’s something you have control over. Our job is to spread the good news. Many of you are survivors. Spread the word. Early detection is the true threat to
